Steamed Fish Recipe |
Ingredients: Serves 4 |
1 fresh fish (about 450g) 2 stalks scallions 1 tablespoon shredded ham 2 tablespoons shredded shiitake mushroom 1 tablespoon shredded ginger 2 tablespoons shredded scallions Seasonings: 2 teaspoons wine a pinch of salt |
Method: Rinse fish, pat dry. Scored 2 or 3 times on each side. Marinate with wine and salt for 15 minutes. Cut scallions into long sections, place on the steaming plate. Mix 3 kinds of shredded ingredients together (without scallions). Put fish on top of scallion sections, sprinkle mixed ingredients and 2-3 tablespoons of water over fish. Bring the steaming water to a boil, steam fish over high heat for about 8 minutes. Add scallion shreds on fish, steam for 2 more minutes. Try with a chopstick to make sure that the fish is done. Remove scallion sections and serve immediately. |
