Cod Fish with Barbecue Sauce Recipe |
Ingredients: |
250 g cod fish, cut into 4 slices Salt to taste Pepper to taste 2 tablespoons cooking oil Barbecue Sauce: 1 teaspoon brown bean sauce (tau cheo) 1 teaspoon sesame paste (also known as tahini) 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon chicken stock granules/powder ½ teaspoon sesame oil 1 teaspoon cooking oil 10 g garlic, sliced 100 g chicken stock |
Method: Rub the cod fish with salt and pepper, and leave to marinate for about 30 minutes. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok and fry the cod fish until it is ¾ cooked. This should take approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the fish, drain off excess oil and set it aside on a plate. Combine the barbecue sauce ingredients and mix well. Set aside. Heat 1 teaspoon of cooking oil in a preheated wok. Add the garlic slices and fry until fragrant. Add in the chicken stock and the barbecue sauce ingredients. Mix well and bring to a boil. Once the sauce has boiled, remove it from the fire. Serve the cod fish with sauce. |
